“OPENING SPEECH FOR THE 10TH REGULAR GENERAL ASSEMBLY ANNUAL MEETING OF THE ASSOCIATION OF POLICE TRAINING INSTITUTIONS IN ASIA (APTA)

Honorable Major General Kim Ki-jong, Acting President of the Association of Police Training Institutions in Asia, Distinguished heads and representatives of member institutions,
I would like to extend my warmest greetings to all of you on this day.
The Mongolian people have a long-standing tradition of warmly welcoming guests from afar and cherishing sincere friendship as one of our most precious values. Today, it is our heartfelt pleasure to welcome you to Mongolia with that same spirit of respect and friendship.
First and foremost, on behalf of the University of Internal Affairs of Mongolia and myself, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all the delegates who have traveled here to participate in the 10th Regular General Assembly Annual Meeting of APTA.
Today, APTA has grown into a prestigious and influential regional professional association, uniting 35 institutes from 19 Asian countries and 4 international organizations. It stands as a pillar for developing cooperation in law enforcement education, training, and research.
We consider it a high honor that the Association has placed its trust and responsibility in us to host this esteemed assembly in Mongolia. I want to emphasize that we have dedicated our utmost effort and diligence to ensure the successful organization of this event.
Our shared goal is to cultivate future law enforcement officers who are not only equipped with professional expertise but are also ethical individuals who uphold human rights and possess the capacity to collaborate effectively at an international level.
I am fully confident that today’s assembly will further strengthen our bonds of friendship, cooperation, mutual trust, and the exchange of knowledge and experience, while opening doors to new ideas, partnerships, and opportunities.
I hope that during your stay in Mongolia, you will experience the vast beauty of our landscapes, our rich history and culture, and the warm hospitality of our people. I wish you a very comfortable and pleasant visit.
