International Academic Conference on “Police Training Quality Assessment and Trends” Successfully Concludes
The International Academic Conference titled “Police Training Quality Assessment and Trends” was successfully held yesterday, July 23, 2026, within the framework of the 10th General Assembly of the Association of Police Training Institutions in Asia (APTA).
The conference was moderated by Police Colonel J. Nyamdulam (Ph.D.), Associate Professor and Director of the Law School at the University of Internal Affairs (UIA) of Mongolia.
Key presentations included:
Major General Chu Van Dung (Ph.D.), Vice President of the People's Police Academy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, discussed: "International Cooperation in Police Training: Experiences and Development Trends to Meet the Requirements of Transnational Crime Prevention and Control in Vietnam ."
Police Major E. Dashgaadan (Ph.D.), Professor of the Department of Police Law at the Police School, UIA, presented on: "Evaluation and Quality Assurance of Mongolian Police Training Programs: Pressing Issues and Challenges."
Joshua James, Regional Cybercrime Coordinator, shared insights on: "Standardizing Digital Evidence Training: A Training Curriculum for Police Academies in the Asia-Pacific Region by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC)."
Police Major Kwon Doe (Ph.D), Researcher at the Korean National Police University (KNPU), discussed: "A Study on Best Practice Cases in Community Policing by the Korean Police from an Environmental Criminology Perspective: Focusing on the Application of the Extended Crime Triangle".
Professor Albertus Wahyurudhanto (Ph.D.) from the Indonesian Police Science College presented: "Quality Assurance in Police Training for Plural Policing: An Indonesian Evidence-Based Model."
Police Colonel B. Erdenedalai, Head of the Foreign Relations and Peacekeeping Operations Department of the National Police Agency of Mongolia, spoke on: "Enhancing the Effectiveness of Training for Generation Y and Generation Z Police Officers."
The conference was officially closed by Police Colonel Ts. Azbayar (Ph.D.), Vice President and Director of Research and Innovation Center at the University of Internal Affairs.
