"The foundation of the School of Emergency Management was established by Order No. B/49 of the Minister of Public Security on January 3, 1990, which created a one-year professional firefighter training course within the structure of the Police Higher School of the Ministry of Public Security."
The department commenced its operations following the establishment of the School of Emergency Management under joint Order No. 19/A/39 of the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Justice and Internal Affairs on March 5, 2012. Over the past 14 years, the department has significantly improved its training quality and accessibility. Notably, the "Emergency Management – Disaster Studies" Bachelor's program received an "unconditional full" evaluation through international accreditation. Moving forward, the department is focused on expanding its operations and strengthening both its human resources and learning environment.
