The department is responsible for the "Forensic Science" Bachelor's degree program, which was one of the first three programs at the University of Internal Affairs to receive national accreditation. In terms of management and organization, the department is focused on expanding its activities, increasing the number of experimental and training laboratories, upgrading technical equipment, and is working towards implementing the ISO/IEC 17025:2019 international standard, "General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories."
