It operates with the mission to establish a unified training system for the Border Protection Agency, create favorable internal and external learning environments, and expand the content and forms of training through new, adaptable professions at the Bachelor's, Master's, Doctoral, and vocational education levels.
The department was originally established in 1997 as the Department of Checkpoint Service at the Border Guard College of the National Defense University. It currently implements Bachelor's degree programs in "Checkpoint Operations" and "Checkpoint Service," providing students and cadets with specialized knowledge in the field of border checkpoint services.
