INTRODUCTION
The "Detective" study group was initially founded in 2008 as part of the Undercover Operations curriculum, initiated by Police Colonel Z. Tormandakh and the "Police Colonel Ts. Jamyansengee Foundation." Today, it operates as the "Detective" Club, named in honor of the late Honored Chekist and Police Colonel, Ts. Jamyansengee.
The club aims to provide 2nd, 3rd, and 4th-year cadets of the Police School at the University of Internal Affairs with specialized theoretical knowledge and practical skills in "Surveillance Law and Tactics." Its objectives include preparing specialized personnel for criminal investigation units, fostering research in intelligence and surveillance, instilling a passion for crime-fighting, and training cadets in professional teamwork.
Biography of Honored Chekist, Police Colonel Ts. Jamyansengee Born in 1950 in Sukhbaatar Sum, Selenge Province, Ts. Jamyansengee graduated from the Legal Department of the General Military Academy in Ulaanbaatar (1968–1972) and the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation (1986–1988). His distinguished career included serving as an officer, senior officer, and head of the Criminal Investigation Department at the General Police Authority (1972–1980); Head of the Undercover Operations Unit in East Germany (1980–1981); and Deputy Chief of the Ulaanbaatar Police and Head of Undercover Operations (1988–1990). He later served as Deputy Commissioner of the National Police Agency, Head of the Criminal Investigation Department, and Head of the Interpol National Central Bureau in Mongolia (1992–1996). He was the Head of the Ulaanbaatar City Police Department (1996–1999) and was appointed Deputy Prosecutor General of Mongolia in 1999.
CLUB ACTIVITIES
The "Detective" Club operates under its own charter and recruits 2nd and 3rd-year cadets from the Police School through a competitive selection process.
Selection is based on three criteria: a written test, an IQ assessment, and an interview.
The club has its own distinct "Detective" emblem and official membership IDs, dedicated to the memory of Colonel Ts. Jamyansengee.
Following a proud tradition, the family of the late Colonel Ts. Jamyansengee awards the "Ts. Jamyansengee Foundation Scholarship" annually to two outstanding club members for their academic and professional excellence.
